CNN’s Jake Tapper interviewed Madam Hillary for the State of the Union show to be broadcast tomorrow. In an excerpt of the interview (video below, 15 seconds), Tapper asks her about the FBI investigation of nobody for nothing in particular. Clinton displayed her new approach to the question. She’s laughing it off. Or, rather, fake laughing it off. Twitchy asks whether this is the creepiest cackle yet. That’s one question that seems not to have occurred to Tapper, though it would have been a good one.
Esquire used to run a photo of Richard Nixon in its annual Dubious Achievement Awards with a caption asking: Why is this man laughing? To adapt the caption to Hillary Clinton we might ask: Why is this lady “laughing”?
