If not overnight, when?

President Obama has done great damage to to the rule of law, to American national security, to race relations, and to our health care system. We are mired in an era of pitiful economic growth that feels like stagnation. He has vastly expanded government dependency, but he counts this an accomplishment. Obamacare is a Rube Goldberg contraption of untold destruction. It’s hard to assess where Obama has done the most damage. The damage may not be irreparable, but it won’t be repaired any time soon.

The Washington Free Beacon’s David Rutz notes Obama’s use of catchphrases expressing his worldview. He invokes “the right side of history” in favor of his causes and deploys “the wrong side of history” against opponents, for example, or scolds us with the judgment “that’s not who we are.” In the video below Rutz compiles Obama’s use of another such catchphrase. The mess we’re in didn’t arrive overnight, Obama says, and it won’t be fixed any time soon either.

Obama thinks in clichés reflecting his highly ideologized left-wing views. Has he ever expressed a thought in original language or even a clever turn of phrase? His mind seems dead to the world. He is as impervious to experience as the worst men who ever lived. “Not going to be fixed overnight.” Is this a case of projection?
