A preview of coming attractions

You may have missed the news that a DNC/Clinton campaign bus was caught yesterday in the act of unloading the contents its sanitary system on the side of the street in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The local CBS News affiliate reported on the incident in the video below.

Since the television report aired yesterday, the DNC has issued an apology. They call it “an honest mistake.” They explained: “We were unaware of any possible violations[.]” They thought it was okay to do what they were caught doing. It’s not that they thought they could get away with it. They didn’t know they were doing anything wrong. There was no mens rea.

At Heat Street, Jillian Kay Melchior tracked down an eyewitness to the offense:

“I’m sitting here in my store, and I look out the window, and I see this RV turn up,” Mike Robins, manager of O’Reilly Autoparts, tells Heat Street. “It says ‘Hillary and Kaine,’ has their pictures on the side. I was going to go out and take a picture when a guy got out of the bus, walked midway, pushed a lever, and right before I knew it, they were dumping all their raw sewage.”

Robins says he watched aghast—and then started snapping photos. “It was just right there, side of the street, dumping,” he says. “They just turned that lever and let it rip.”

At the Washington Free Beacon, Alyssa Canobbio qlso quotes Robins: “I don’t care who you are. That’s just wrong.”

Mr. Robins is an old-fashioned kind of guy. In Hillary Clinton’s America, he may even be obsolete.

This incident provides a perfect symbol of the Clinton campaign to date and a symbolic preview of coming attractions.
