CNN explains some more

As I say in this nearby post, if one is capable of achieving detachment, the media can become major contributors to such enjoyment as may be had of this election. As Henny Youngman might have put it, take CNN — please. The big thinkers at CNN are on a roll. In the video below, CNN media correspondent and Reliable Sources host Brian Stelter blames “overheated rhetoric” — of which Donald Trump is identified as the chief perpetrator — for the firebombing of a North Carolina Republican Party office this past weekend.

Quotable quote: “We have no idea who has done this. We don’t know if it’s a Republican, a Democrat, a movement. No idea. Could be some core of extremists, some sort of radical….But that kind of action is unacceptable. And we need to have the temperature come down on all sides right now. Unfortunately, Donald Trump is the lead in terms of raising the temperature at this moment in time.”
