How to Make Energy Star Go Supernova

The greenies have their hemp knickers in a twist because Trump’s proposed budget will zero-out the Department of Energy and EPA “Energy Star” program, which, like elementary school teachers passing out gold stars to well-behaved pupils, awards “Energy Star” certification to businesses that build inferior washing machines, dishwashers, glum light bulbs, etc.

So here’s a piece of brilliant news that may well make the greenies change their mind:

Koch Industries Earns 2017 ENERGY STAR® Partner Of The Year Award For Energy Management

WICHITA, Kan. – Koch Industries has earned the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year Award for 2017. The award recognizes organizations that have made outstanding contributions to protecting the environment through energy efficiency.

Koch, an ENERGY STAR Partner since January 2015, received the distinction for advancing energy management in multiple energy-intensive industries, actively participating in ENERGY STAR’s industrial network and by building a vast energy network within its own operations. The award is the highest honor bestowed by EPA, and will be presented Wednesday, April 26, at a ceremony in Washington, D.C.

I can hear the primal scream from the greenies—”Nnnooooooooooooo!!!” If this doesn’t kill the Energy Star program, then Steve Bannon will have to go back to the drawing board. Heh.
