Australian Bomb Plot Charged
An Australian prosecution illustrates the international reach of the Islamofascist threat: Australian Jack Roche, a Muslim convert born in Great Britain, has been charged with conspiring to blow up the Israeli embassy in Canberra.
Roche allegedly planned the bombing along with Khalid Sheik Mohammed, the principal architect of the September 11 attacks, who was arrested in Pakistan last month. The other alleged co-conspirators were Abu Hafs, a Mauritanian, and Egyptian Saif Al-Adel, an Al-Qaeda security chief on the FBI's most-wanted list, who reportedly was also arrested last month. Roche has said that he met Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan in 2000.
This is more evidence, along with the arrests in Pakistan yesterday, that the al Qaeda network is being rolled up. More arrests are expected in Pakistan imminently. I assume the apprehension of Khalid Sheik Mohammed led to some of the current arrests.
