Recent news on the economic front is about as good as it gets: Unemployment down to 4.7%. You'd have to look really hard to find a dark cloud. John Kerry found one, though: Mothers and fathers are working harder and longer and struggling to keep up with the soaring costs of health insurance, gas and college tuition. Speak for yourself, John. One thing puzzles me: how can consumer confidence be soaring, while at the same time 59% said in a recent poll that they disapprove of President Bush's "handling of the economy?" Posted by at 7:20 PM
