Saul Singer reports that Israel stands totally united behind the proposition that "Hezbollah must be utterly destroyed, regardless of what the international community thinks." He writes: There is wall-to-wall agreement in our dovish government, led by Kadima, which wants to continue unilateral withdrawals; and Labor, which flirts with the notion that a Palestinian partner still exists. Now the parties are of a single mind. . . . When a powerful nation stands together in this fashion behind a specific mission, the likelihood that the mission will succeed is high.
