The Yak attack continues
Yakubu scored again for Everton yesterday in a 2-0 win over West Ham. It was our second away victory in four days against the Hammers, the previous one coming in a Carling Cup match. West Ham has only lost two other matches at home this year.
For Yakubu, it was the fifth goal in three matches and his eleventh of the season. Andrew Johnson came off the bench to add the second on a fine lob.
Everton is now unbeaten in its last twelve matches. We sit sixth in the table, tied on points with arch-rivals Liverpool who have a slightly better goal difference and a match in hand. And that’s with the Shite having stolen the derby from us.
