If you're unhappy about having to segregate your liquids and gels every time you fly, blame these guys: They, along with several confederates, went on trial this morning for conspiring to blow up seven airplanes, more or less simultaneously, over the Atlantic Ocean: Bombs made from hydrogen peroxide liquid explosives, and disguised as soft drinks including Lucozade and Oasis, were to be taken on board and detonated mid-flight, causing thousands of deaths “in the name of Islam”, it is alleged. The trial is expected to last well into the summer. To comment on this post, go here. |
