Yesterday was the fishing opener in Minnesota. Snow fell across much of the northern part of the state, leading to images of Minnesotans fishing amid snow flurries, like this one in the Minneapolis Star Tribune:

The snowy fishing opener was no fluke, as nationwide, April was the coldest since 1997.
