Today is a big moviegoing

Today is a big moviegoing day, and the Claremont Institute Web site has posted our friend Steve Hayward’s consideration of the second Rings installment. Steve’s consideration of the movie is particularly worthy of your attention: “A Towering Achievement.”
For those looking to dwell a little longer on the meaning of this date in American history, it would be hard to do better than Mackubin Owens’s review of David Blight’s new book, Race and Reunion: The Civil War in American Memory, from the current issue of the Claremont Review of Books: “How the Confederates won.”
