Our bold president

George Will on the boldness of President Bush’s policies, both foreign and domestic. As Will puts it, “America has a president unusually comfortable contemplating, and pushing, change.” One area where Will anticipates change is in our relations with Europe. He notes that, although France and Germany are continually called “key allies,” it is not clear now it what sense either is key. Accordingly, Will expects that President Bush will shift our European focus eastward.
