The Gathering Storm

The usually incendiary FrontPage has several almost scholarly pieces that warrant a close look this morning. I recommend that you start with the following two outstanding pieces.
First, our fellow Claremont Institute fellow Angelo Codevilla powerfully describes the strategic issue that confronts us in the war on terrorism: “The urgency of offensive counter-terrorism.”
Second, Jeffrey Herf applies the teaching of our hero Winston Churchill to last weekend’s Munich conference: “A view from the left: Auschwitz, Munich and Iraq.”
