I’ve been saying for a long time that bin Laden is dead, but it looks like I was wrong. The New York Times reports that Pakistani officials are saying that “material seized on Saturday during the arrest of the lieutenant, Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, showed that Mr. Mohammed met with Mr. bin Laden sometime in February.”
Too bad. On the other hand, it appears that our intelligence agencies located Mohammed several weeks ago and have been tracking his visitors and communications since then. Maybe we have a line on where bin Laden currently is. The Times also reports that “[m]uch more material was found in the raid than authorities have been willing to acknowledge in public.” Additional successes are likely to follow soon.
