It is neither a surprise nor a coincidence that the straightest talk we hear from official Washington comes from a member our parents’ generation. I also concur with your answer to Daniel Pipes’ question about why the left has a soft-spot for radical Islam. It’s an example of the “enemy of my enemy is my friend” syndrome, with the self in the role of “my enemy.”
