Striking terror central

Baghdad is terror central. With the important exceptions of Hamas and Hezbollah, virtually every significant anti-Western terrorist organization in the world has headquarters, offices or representatives in Baghdad. Michael Ledeen now reports that last night’s missile strike in Baghdad took out an officer of the Palestine Liberation Front. The leader of the PLF — an offshoot of Yasser Arafat’s Fatah, the leader is a former member of Fatah’s executive committee — was responsible for the hijacking of the Achille Lauro cruise liner in 1985. In that operation, you may recall, a wheelchair-bound American citizen was murdered in cold blood when he was thrown overboard. Ledeen’s report is on National Review Online: “More bad news for Daschle.”
