Straight talk

Sen. John McCain, in the Washington Post, provides a clear explanation of why the war against Saddam Hussein is consistent with our proud tradition of meeting threats to our security with both force and a commitment to revolutionary democratic change. McCain makes a similar point to that of Max Boot (below) when he notes that “the Arab street has been quieter than the European street because Arabs know Hussein’s regime is monstrous.”
