Raoul Wallenberg in reverse

This morning’s must-read news story is Bill Gertz’s bombshell in the Washington Times, based on sources Gertz identifies as “U.S. intelligence officials”: “France helped Iraqis escape.” According to one Bush administration official quoted in the story, “‘It’s like Raoul Wallenberg in reverse,’ a reference to the Swedish diplomat who supplied travel documents to help Jews escape Nazi Germany in World War II.”
Ranking right up there with Gertz’s bombshell is the New York Times story on the March 18 bank withdrawal made by Qusay Hussein. The story is “Hussein’s son took $1 billion just before war, bank aide says.” According to the story, “The sheer volume of the cash was so great
