Beneath Contempt

One of the Democrats’ silliest arguments against the Iraq war was that it somehow “distracted” from the war on terror. Sort of like how fighting cancer is a “distraction” from the war against disease, I guess. Anyway, the argument never got much traction, partly because the Iraq war was accompanied by a string of successes on other anti-terror fronts. But the Democrats never give up; now they are blaming yesterday’s Saudi bombings on President Bush, saying they were the result of our paying attention to Iraq. Sickening.
