The government of Hungary has converted the former headquarters of the secret police into a “House of Terror Museum,” which documents the horrors of the Nazi and Communist occupations. The museum’s web site is here. The site is rather primitive but is worth a look. The museum itself is powerful; so powerful that “former” Communists in the current government are trying to shut it down.
