Thinking about the New York Times

The issue of the Weekly Standard out this morning feature Bill Kristol’s editorial and Christopher Caldwell’s story on the New York Times. Kristol’s editorial is “America’s next great newspaper” and Caldwell’s story is “The New York Times’s meltdown.”
Yesterday’s Best of the Web column on OpinionJournal steered us to the Philadelphia Daily News column by radio talk show host Michael Smerconish in which he applies the editorial wisdom of the Times to the Times’s own scandal: “Will Times swallow a dose of its own medicine?” The BOTW column also steered us to the previously spiked Boston Globe column on the Times scandal: “Times must come clean.”
