The New York Times has an eye-opening story on the jury verdict in the Lemrick Nelson case: “Juror explains mixed verdict on stabbing in Crown Heights.” On the editorial page, Samuel Freedman considers the verdict from another perspective: “A relationship that’s past its prime.”
The Times also has an interesting review of a public television mini-series devoted to the proposition that race is a fiction — invented by the ruling classes, of course, not government bureacrats or university admistrators: “Race as a fiction invented by the ruling classes.” Taking issue with this proposition are Steve Sailer and Jon Entine in an interview I have been waiting to find an appropriate occasion to post. Here it is: “Tracing Jewish history through genes.”
