In Rocket Man’s critique of Adam Clymer’s Strom Thurmond obituary immediately below, we should have noted parenthetically that Adam Clymer is of course notorious as a “Big Time A******,” not a “World Class A******.” We regret the error.
HINDROCKET adds: Sorry, guys. My memory is failing. Notice, however, that our corrections are not only more timely than the Times’, they also don’t negate the point of our post. If only the Times had the same high standards of accuracy as we bloggers.
UPDATE: On this important point, several readers have written to point out that President Bush originally designated Clymner as a “Major League A******,” to which Vice President Cheney responded, “Yeah, Big Time.”
