Don’t stop thinking about tomorrow

No more important task lies before us than to recover an understanding of the “new political science” of the Founders of the United States — the men who staked our country on the proposition that all men are created equal and endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights; and who, having done so, bequeathed us a Constitution to secure those rights. Christopher Flannery and Mackubin Thomas Owens have the essential columns with which to meditate on the true meaning of Independence Day. Please don’t miss these: Flannery’s “That honorable determination” and Owens’ “The idea of America.”
