Mark Steyn on Gray Davis

There is a lot of potential for humor in the California recall situation; trust Mark Steyn to find it:
“As the columnist Jonah Goldberg put it, Davis runs his administration the way a teenage girl runs her credit card – going on giddy spending sprees and then refusing to open the bill.
“Gray Davis is Gray by name, grey by nature. In California, they call him the None Of The Above candidate: he’s prospered by being the bland guy you turn to because the other fellows on the ballot are too extreme, too obnoxious, too goofy, too too too much. But the default candidate has brought the entire state to the edge of default, and for the first time in his life the None Of The Above guy has become the Above the voters want None of.”
