Triumph of the will

Following up on Deacon’s and Rocket Man’s comments on the Democratic assault on Bill Pryor, let us pay appropriate tribute to the Democrats’ victory yesterday in preventing Pryor’s nomination from coming to an up-or-down vote on the floor of the Senate.
The Democrats have perfected the project initiated by Nietzsche and pursued by his many less witty successors since the nineteenth century, the project he called “the transvaluation of values.” Perhaps the Senate Judiciary Committee should reconvene in Nuremberg to resume the sickening hatefest that its confirmation hearings have become: “Democrats in Senate block another judge.”
