…as Arnold Schwarzenegger apparently will announce tonight that he is entering the California Governor’s race after all. For the last couple of weeks the buzz has been that he was staying out; if he leaked that news on purpose to add to the drama of his announcement on Jay Leno’s show tonight, it was shrewd news management. I’m glad he’s in, if it’s true. As I’ve said before, I think Arnold is an extremely impressive man even though I’m skeptical about his conservative credentials. But would he be a big improvement on Gray Davis, and help resuscitate the Republican Party in California? Of course.
