Al Jazeera Reporter Arrested

This is pretty stunning news. An al Jazeera reporter named Tayseer Alouni, described by Reuters as “one of [al Jazeera’s] most renowned war correspondents,” has been arrested in Spain as a member of al Qaeda.
Alouni covered both the war in Afghanistan and the war in Iraq for al Jazeera. He apparently was fingered as a member of bin Laden’s terrorist organization by members of a Spanish al Qaeda cell that was rolled up by the Spanish government.
