The Madness Continues

I don’t pretend to be able to explain the bizarre political attitudes now poisoning much of Europe. Some of the sickness is, of course, due to the widespread fear of that continent’s huge and growing Muslim population. But that’s not enough to explain the broad-based madness reflected in public opinon surveys like this one:
“A poll being widely reported Sunday indicates more than half of Europeans believe Israel poses a greater threat to world peace than Iran and North Korea.
“Nearly 60 percent of 7,500 Europeans surveyed ranked Israel as the country posing the biggest threat to world peace today, according to the poll to be released Monday by the European Commission….The United States ranks sixth on the list, after North Korea, Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan.”
