Howard Kerry

The latest New York Times/CBS News poll suggests that John Kerry’s honeymoon with the voters may well be over. President Bush leads Kerry by 46 perecent to 38 percent, with Ralph Nader’s support at 7 percent. To the extent that it is reliable, the poll isn’t great news for Bush since his support is under 50 percent, he runs essentially even with Kerry/Nader, and 54 percent of those polled say the country is moving in the wrong direction. On the other hand, voters seem already to be disillusioned with Kerry, as he assumes the mantle of Howard Dean at just about the time Dean probably would have been working to shed it.
