The Richard Clarke Show

AEI has posted Joshua Muravchik’s excellent essay/review from the May issue of Commentary on the Richard Clarke affair: “The Richard Clarke Show.” Muravchik saves the following observation for footnote 2 of his essay:

One way in which Against All Enemies differs from a comic book is in its utter lack of humor, except of the inadvertent kind. Here is the clench-jawed Clarke rhapsodizing about Bush’s predecessor in the Oval Office: “Clinton approved every snatch that he was asked to review.”
