Quite a few years ago, when the Trunk and I were embarking on our career in punditry, we got help on an article from Ed Gillespie, then an obscure Congressional staffer with expertise in economics. Ed was friendly and knowledgeable, but we didn’t imagine that he would someday be Chairman of the Republican National Committee. Today he enjoyed the perks of his newfound eminence, as he introduced World Wrestling Entertainment champion Victoria at a Republican voter registration rally in San Diego:
