Readers in the Houston area will have a once in a lifetime opportunity to see my favorite soccer team, Everton FC. Yup, Everton will visit Reliant Stadium on July 29 and Aug. 1 to take on Mexican Club teams Pachuca and Club America. The Houston Chronicle describes this visit as “monumental.” However, since Everton will be without injured (and probably soon to be sold) Wayne Rooney, the matches may turn out to be snooze-fests unless the Mexican sides are good.
