Apologetic media update

I know some readers are tired of our media updates that appear to serve little more than our vanity. On the other hand, we have heard from many readers who have tuned in to our television appearances over the past month and expressed appreciation in effusive email messages.
For such readers I write to note that I will appear on a special pre-debate MSNBC Countdown with Keith Olbermann tonight between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. (Central), I think. I taped an interview with MSNBC producer Monica Novotny for a reported piece on the impact of blogs on the current campaign. Monica also interviewed Glenn Reynolds and Markos Zuniga for the piece.
On our Northern Alliance Radio Network radio show tomorrow (noon to 3:00 p.m. Central), we will be interviewing National Review’s John Miller on his timely new book (coauthored with Mark Molesky), Our Oldest Enemy: A History of America’s Disastrous Relationship with France. The NARN show is streamed live over the Internet via the link accessible on the logo in the left margin and archived there for a week.
HINDROCKET demurs: Don’t be apologetic, Trunk. This is a blog. To some extent, it is about us. We don’t get paid to do this; we do it out of political conviction, and for fun. Some readers don’t like it if we say when we’re going to be on television; or if we write about soccer; or if we cover beauty pageants. Some readers didn’t like the pro-Dick Cheney site I linked to the other day. Fine. There are something like 2,000,000 blogs in existence. On most of them, you won’t have to worry about reading about television and radio appearances. And if a reader isn’t interested in popular music or beauty pageants or TV appearances, it takes all of a fraction of a second to skip to the next post. So: no apology is necessary.
