Why Minnesota Is A Red State

For those who are relatively new to Power Line, Slate offers a reasonably balanced look at Presidential politics in Minnesota, and explains why Minnesota could be the state on which John Kerry’s electoral hopes founder.
While Minnesota has historically been Democratic, there is little doubt that demographically, it is a red state. The only question is whether its transition to a Republican majority will be complete by November 2. For what it’s worth, those in charge of the Bush campaign in Minnesota say they are “cautiously optimistic.” The party’s polling shows the race even.
