He’ll pump you up

The New Criterion is one of my favorite magazines. I’ve subscribed to it since its first issue, so it’s a special kick to see a comment of mine about Arthur Miller quoted in its March issue. The highlight of the issue is the preview of the forthcoming, long-awaited (by me) book on masculinity by Harvard government professsor Harvey Mansfield: “The manliness of Theodore Roosevelt.” This essay is both thought-provoking and incendiary. Don’t miss it!
