Iditarod Nears Climax

The Iditarod, one of the world’s great sporting events, is nearing its conclusion with Norwegian Robert Sorlie holding a commanding lead over a “pack of Alaskans” just over 100 miles from Nome. We wrote about the great dog-sled race here, posted when I was in Alaska, and here, inspired by Gary Paulsen’s book Winterdance. Congratulations to all who finish the race, and, for that matter, those who don’t.
