David Frum begins his diary with a kind reference to Power Line. He then makes a very astute point about the Democratic party, prompted by an encounter with Wesley Clark:
Theoretically [Clark] should have positioned himself as the staunchest champion of national security on the Democratic side in 2004; how did he get trapped into standing with Michael Moore? You can blame Clark’s personal judgment of course and you would not be wrong. But there is something unwell about a political party that induces its would-be leaders into such consistently bad judgments.
