The Gift That Keeps On Giving

If you haven’t already seen it, the Minneapolis Star Tribune’s account of Howard Dean’s appearance at a fundraiser for the ACLU in Minneapolis last night is astonishing–or would be, if it weren’t so typical:

Dean regaled an appreciative audience for nearly 90 minutes without once raising his voice, as he did after last year’s Iowa primary election. But he did draw howls of laughter by mimicking a drug-snorting Rush Limbaugh.
“I’m not very dignified,” he said. “But I’m not running for president anymore.”

Is that really the image the Democratic Party wants? Crude, hateful, bigoted, low-class? Howard Dean is a ticking time bomb. One of these days the Republicans will be very glad that he is the head of the Democratic Party.
UPDATE: Trey Jackson points out that his website, Jackson’s Junction, has the audio of Dean’s slur.
