Rocky mountain high

From August 4-7 this summer, the Claremont Institute will be hosting its first-ever Summer Policy Retreat in Aspen, Colorado. Among the prominent speakers will be Victor Davis Hanson, Bill Bennett and Colorado Governor Bill Owens. Among the less well-known speakers whom I look forward to hearing are Claremont McKenna College Professor of Government and Claremont Review of Books editor Charles Kesler, University of Dallas Professor Thomas West (author of the invaluable Vindicating the Founders), terrorism expert Steven Emerson (author of American Jihad), and Manhattan Institute scholar Tamar Jacoby (editor of the collection of essays Reinventing the Melting Pot). I’ll be speaking at lunch on Saturday with Weekly Standard writer Stephen Hayes (author of The Connection). Please join us if you can.
