Yasser’s millions

The Wall Street Journal’s Carl Bialik writes:

Paris investigators looking into the finances of the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat are investigating about $8.4 million of transfers they suspect benefited a former Lebanese militiaman. They are seeking to establish whether the transfers were embezzled from Palestinian public funds, either from the Palestine Liberation Organization or the Palestinian Authority, according to a Paris judicial official.

The Journal has made the timely article by Benoit Faucon freely available online: “Probe of Arafat’s finances focuses on transfers to ex-militiaman.”
