Although political junkies are aleady looking ahead to 2006 and 2008, a significant race — for Governor of Virginia — will be decided this November. Republican Jerry Kilgore, the former Attorney General of the State, has a good chance of reclaiming the governorship for his party. Polls show him 7 to 10 points up.
I’ve been negligent in informing readers about the goings on in my neighboring state, but hope to remedy this as November approaches. Meanwhile, Commonwealth Conservative is a good source of information. Check out its reports on the recent debate between Kilgore and his opponent Lieutenant Governor Tim Kaine, which seems to have gone Kilgore’s way.
You can’t go far wrong by looking to Polipundit either.
