…Is the best medicine

The new issue of City Journal carries Harry Stein’s edifying article on right-leaning comic strips: “Laughing at the left.” I’ve been carrying the article around with me for a few weeks and just got around to reading it. It covers the scene from Bruce Tinsley (Mallard Fillmore) to Scott Stantis (Prickly City) and Chris Muir (Day by Day) in an informative and entertaining tour. Here is Stein’s conclusion:

Even as Mallard Fillmore and Prickly City alter the balance of power on the comics page, at least one right-of-center cartoonist is starting to make an impact on the web. Without the benefit of syndication or any other traditional form of promotion, Day by Day, by Chris Muir, has become a daily stop for many bloggers
