Coming Soon: A “Scientific” Inquiry!

Iran’s Foreign Minister has announced that his country will sponsor a conference on the “scientific aspect” of the Holocaust:

“It is a strange world. It is possible to discuss everything except the Holocaust,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi told reporters. “The Foreign Ministry plans to hold a conference on the scientific aspect of the issue to discuss and review its repercussions.”

Yesterday, President Ahmadinejad “urged the West to be open-minded enough to allow a free international debate on the real aspects of the Holocaust.” Yes, that’s the problem all right: people in the West just aren’t open-minded enough. Actually, I suspect that Ahmadinejad will find lots of “open-minded” westerners to attend his conference, perhaps including delegates from Venezuela.
