Cheney Rocks Scott AFB; Not Expected to Audition For American Idol

Yesterday, Vice-President Cheney gave a speech at Scott Air Force Base, which is in the St. Louis area. Power Line’s Blog of the Week, Gateway Pundit, has coverage of his visit, including a link to local television coverage of the speech.

Cheney’s reception was enthusiastic. One of the entertaining moments in the video is at the end, when the assembled Air Force personnel sing the Air Force song (“Off we go, into the wild blue yonder…”) and Cheney joins in. Sort of. I don’t think we should expect to see Cheney on American Idol any time soon.

The Pundit also comments on the New York Times’ odd commercial alliance with the government of Sudan, and much more.
