DPW goes American?

Yesterday we received an alert that New York Daily News would be running an exclusive story on the Dubai Ports World deal today. This morning’s Daily News carries the story by Thomas de Frank and Kenneth Bazinet: “Dubai and Dubya in dash for lifeboat.” According to de Frank and Bazinet:

The White House is quietly pushing a Dubai company to “significantly restructure” and partner up with a U.S. outfit to keep the port deal from sinking, sources told the Daily News yesterday.

Some variation of the phrase “any port in a storm” has accompanied many of the comments on the Dubia Ports World deal, but it seems particularly applicable to the Daily News story.
