Nigeria’s oil war: The abduction

Austin Bay has been following the situation in Nigeria for some time. This afternoon the New York Times has posted an important story on today’s raid of an oil drilling rig in Nigeria. Austin uses StrategyPage and his own experience to supply background. His post evaluates the hostage raid (which took six Brits, a Canadian, and an American) and looks at Nigeria’s many problems, which bear on our problems, because of Nigeria’s oil: “Nigeria’s oil war: The ethnic and economic dimensions.”
