It was only about a month ago

that John Pantsil of Ghana displayed the Israeli flag during a goal celebration at the World Cup. Team officials quickly tried to set the record straight — Pantsil was naive and didn’t understand the big picture associated with the struggle of the Palestinians.

Today, I suspect that Pantsil is less naive but no less pro-Israel, as Hezbollah rockets continue to fall in northern Israel amidst rumors that they may reach Tel Aviv where Pantsil plays his football.
