Seeing today’s immigrants straight

City Journal managing editor Brian Anderson has alerted us to the posting of the magazine’s cover package on immigration from the forthcoming Summer issue. The package provides a sharply different take than some of the other Manhattan Institute scholars who have addressed the subject (Tamar Jacoby in particular). Steven Malanga shows how out of whack our immigration system is from an economic perspective, and Heather Mac Donald unpacks the various myths at the heart of the current debate. Editor Myron Magnet addresses the intra-Manhattan Institute debate in his introductory “In Prospect” essay for the issue.
